The Search for a Godly Spouse

Oh my goodness! It's been a long time since I've blogged! WOW! :)

Well, the past two mornings I listened to a radio broadcast called The Search for a Godly Spouse. It's really entertaining to listen to because the speaker is Irish. :) The gist of the talk is pretty much summed up into the title-- The Search for a Godly Spouse (That's the 3rd time I've typed that...I should stop...lol). :)

The speaker, Alistair Begg, gave the 6 most important qualities to look for in a future spouse and he divided them up for both male and female. I thought it was really interesting...take a look. :)

Women: The man you someday marry should…

• Be continually growing closer to Jesus Christ
• Demonstrate integrity
• Be a bold leader
• Love sacrificially
• Laugh heartily, especially at himself
• Model genuine humility

Men: The woman you someday marry should…

• Have a personal faith in Jesus Christ
• Possess inner beauty, not just outer
• Be an initiative taker and have an attitude of submission
• Be a wife who will help build her husband's confidence
• Display kindness
• Have a sense of humor

Look Into The Future

Wow...How weird it is to think that 2008 is over! It seems like it was just yesterday that I was getting ready for my 16th birthday now it's long gone! So much has changed this year! (I sound like an 85 year old man...disturbing...) Thinking about last year this time I had so many obstacles in my view: turning 16, being a sophomore, getting my license, starting/taking over a music business that has a HUGE legacy that accompanies it...and the list just keeps going! Some things were easier to handle than others, but it's been a good ride, baby! :)

"I've got my left foot down on my accelerator and my rear view mirror torn off 'cause I ain't never lookin' back. That's a fact." (Like the driving metaphor?! Guess the driving thing is more a part of me than I know...lol) :) And I'm not really "never looking back" because 2008 was a good year. I can't wait for 2009 to play out! The freedom I've gotten this year has been MUCH needed! I'm lovin' it! (haha MEG!) I'm gonna see what I know so far about 2009...month by month...

It feels like the HOLIDAYS...oh joy...

So here's the deal. During the past oh let's say 2 weeks, my life has slowly washed itself down the toilet. I can't believe how many different obnoxious situations I've had to deal with. Here, let me give you some examples: relationships, computer crashes, suicide, CHRISTMAS, family problems, more relationship issues/advice, court cases, etc. Doesn't my life sound like a walk in the park on a warm spring day?! NO! I THINK NOT! A more appropriate analogy would be...hmmm let me see...oh how about a track race through hell...yeah, that sounds like a better parallel. You know, you people could have given me like a week to adjust to each awful situation before throwing me another! haha Seriously though? I really like that my friends trust me enough to come to me with their problems or for advice. Just because I'm venting doesn't mean I don't want to hear about your problems!! Hey, who knows! It MAY just make mine look a little easier to handle!! :)

More Crazy Days in My Shoes...

Hey Bloggers!!

Ok, so, what's new? Not much. My computer crashed this week and so I've been going crazy without it...I've had to get on at the library or on dad's laptop. Not checking Facebook and Email has been so crazy!! Umm...I got my haircut today. I like it a lot. It's kinda short, but I think it'll be a good look overall. lol :P The anniversary party for my parents came off really well and I had a BLAST!! :) I've been getting ready for Club Days which is VALENTINES DAY! I can't wait, but I have a really bad feeling that it's going to be just as crazy as last year. I hope I don't have tons of stuff to do this year...I also counted my credit hours and realized that I have enough credits that I COULD graduate THIS YEAR!!! No one knows how insanely much I want to do that, but I doubt it's going to happen the way I want it to. I'll probably end up at JCCC and working at the Music School...oh well. I'll get to college SOME day! lol :P

Well Christmas shopping calls!! Lots to do and not too long to do it!! 19 DAYS MY FRIENDS!! :)

Directional Change...

Hey Bloggers!
Ok...so I want my blog to have dual purposes-- I want to post cute things that I find, but I also want to use my blog as a place to vent what's happening in my life. I think that I will more frequently update my blog if I have something to write about (other than just "cute" stuff).

Here goes my "report" for the day.

Hmm...Just like every Wednesday morning, I went to music school...However, today I went dressed like a black cat. lol All the kids were invited to wear their costumes this week for Halloween. It's been really fun to see what 3-6 year-olds are interested in these days (boy, don't I sound old?!).

OOOH! BIG NEWS! I had my first kiss today from a boy outside my family!!! It was amazing...here, I'll set the scene for you...It was somewhat early in the morning and an unsuspecting girl was mindlessly working...SUDDENLY! A handsome firefighter comes and gives her a kiss on the cheek!!! Then the girl is in an extacy unlike any other! Yeppers! That's how it went! Well...almost. I was working this morning...and I was kissed by a firefighter...but it was his Halloween costume and he was 4...and the kiss was pretty wet (he likes to suck on his fingers a lot)...BUT none of that matter! It was magical!!! bahaha!! Ok, so I exaggerate just a LITTLE! RIGHT?! lol Whatever...

After work I had my second piano lesson at the Tune Shop in PV. It's really fun and I got a bunch of new music today. I get to play Clare de Lune and I'm freakin' excited about it!! Debussy is my favorite composer for more than one reason!! (Twilight readers...you know...wink wink!)

Yep, those are pretty much the highlights for the day...ENJOY!
